Why Choose Genuine HP 728/729?
HP 728 is the original ink for the HP DesignJet T730 and the T830 MFP, in both the 24-inch and 36-inch versions. We stock 300 ml matte black and 130 ml cyan, magenta and yellow, and all four work with the HP 729 printhead. Each colour is replaced on its own, so you only buy the colour that runs out.
No. The T730 and T830 accept only HP 728 cartridges; other HP inks have different cartridges and chips. HP 711 fits the T120 and T520, HP 727 fits the T920 to T2530, and HP 738 fits the newer T850, T870 and T950. If you are replacing a T730 or T830, the T850 and T850 MFP are the current models.
Replace it when streaks, missing lines or wrong colours remain after cleaning and alignment. The HP 729 kit has one four-colour printhead plus starter cartridges, 40 ml cyan, magenta and yellow and 69 ml matte black, and you can fit it yourself. HP covers it for 12 months after installation, until its warranty-end date or 1,000 ml of ink, whichever comes first.

No. HP has discontinued the T730, but we continue to supply HP 728 ink and HP 729 printheads for existing users. The T830 24in MFP is still available new. For a new A0 printer, the T850 replaces the T730, and the T850 MFP adds scanning. The T850 range uses HP 738 ink, which is not interchangeable with HP 728.
