HP DesignJet T650 24in Printer Overview

The HP DesignJet T650 24in is a compact A1 plotter for small architecture, M&E and engineering offices. It prints an A1 drawing in about 26 seconds (81 A1 per hour), switches automatically between the roll and its A4/A3 sheet feeder, and comes with a stand. It uses low-cost HP 712 inks.

Questions about the HP DesignJet T650 24in

What is the difference between the T650 24in and the T250?

The T650 adds a stand, an automatic A4/A3 sheet feeder, 1 GB memory and HP-GL/2 support, and is slightly faster (about 26 seconds per A1 against 30 seconds). Both print up to A1 and use the same HP 712 inks.

Are T650 prints waterproof?

Not fully. The HP 712 colour inks are dye-based, which gives bright colours on plain paper but less water resistance. For drawings that go to wet sites, choose a model with HP Flex Tech pigment inks such as the T870 or T850.

Can the T650 24in print A0?

No. It takes rolls up to 610 mm (24 inch), so its largest standard size is A1. The T650 36in prints A0.

Which consumables does the T650 use?

HP 712 ink cartridges and the HP 713 printhead, both stocked by DPI.
